I Thirst

A life-size sculpture of Jesus on the cross installed at Immaculate Conception Church in Perry, FL.

Ms. Jonson created this sculpture to show the suffering, the compassion, and the reality of the crucified Lord. Jesus said, “If I be lifted up from the Earth, I will draw all men to myself.” And from the cross he said, “I thirst.” It is His thirst to save souls that reverberates in this powerful sculpture.
