This unusual processional cross was created for the Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita, Kansas, to stand in the Resurrection Chapel. Jonson's use of materials and colors blend to form a unique work of art for the church.
The hand-painted, resin corpus is mounted on a mahogany cross, and enhanced by hand-tinted bronze rays. The significance of the elements is the announcement of salvation for mankind through Christ's sacrifice.
